A Twist of Fate by Joanna Rees Review

Reviewed by Louisa Nashir

The start of this book sees baby sisters Thea and Romy torn apart and each sent to a new home.

The sisters lives are the polar opposite of each other.

Thea is sent from her native Germany to America where she is placed with a super-rich, luxurious and privileged family where her every need is met.

Romy is sent to an Orphanage in Germany and is treated appallingly and is extremely unhappy.
Romy eventually escapes the hellish orphanage but finds herself alone, afraid and penniless.

Completely unaware that they are sisters Romy and Thea meet several times in different stages of their lives and carry on living as they are used to.

The book really does show how two lives can be so different and is tear jerking at times.

You can’t help but will Romy and Thea to realise the special sisterly connection they have but of course I am not going to tell you if they have their happy ever after as it would spoil the book for you.

If you want to know I suggest you buy it ASAP! This book is a real page turner and I finished it in 2 days!

I recommend this gripping book to everyone.
