Revenge of the Electric Car is the follow up to Who Killed the Electric Car? By Chris Paine and follows the resurrection of the electric car. In 2006 thousands of the GM EV1 electric car were scrapped and stocks destroyed, now a few years later the electric car is beginning to rise again like a Phoenix from the ashes.

This DVD is about the new race to develop the electric car again and make it affordable and profitable. It goes behind the scenes with Nissan, General Motors and Telsa Motors and features the EV’s (Electric Vehicles) made by them:

GM Volt
Nissan Leaf

It has interviews with car giant CEO’s Bob Lutz (General Motors), Carlos Ghosn (Nissan), Elon Musk (Telsa Motors) and Greg ‘Gadget’ Abbott (do-it-yourselfer) showing how much money and effort goes into getting these cars off the ground.

Overall, even though it is not necessarily something I would think about watching I found it a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining as well as informative. I recommend it.

Rating: 5/5
