Light House Braces Review

Reviewed by Sam Portillo-Corodeanu
It’s that time of the year again. Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” is being played everywhere. Markets are starting to sell mulled wine, mince pies and other Yuletide treats.
Feeling the Christmas spirit already? Me too. But what really makes Christmas the best time of the year is the lights. Whether it be the fairy lights on your Christmas tree or the spectacular light display at Oxford and Regent Streets, they never fail to encapsulate the glow of the holiday cheer.
But if you want to take it a notch higher, and be the star in your Christmas party, Light House Braces are the way to go. The concept is simple: they’re braces that light up. The story behind it interesting. The brand founders needed an outfit for their lights-themed Christmas party. They couldn’t find any light-up braces online, so they decided to do it themselves. Needless to say, it was a hit at the party, and the rest is history.

This level of resourcefulness and ingenuity is what really intrigued me about the product. I was really excited when the Light House Braces finally arrived. It came in a sleek black box, and inside it, the product was wrapped together with a USB cable and a card containing a message from the founders. It had a personal feel to it, which I really liked.
The packaging makes it ideal as a great gift idea for your boyfriend, husband, father or brother. And they’ll definitely dig it. My husband was over the moon when I gave it to him, as you can see below.
The first thing I noticed was how sturdy the material was, and how easy it was to use. Just put it on like you would usually put braces on. Then turn on the switch to make it light up. What’s really cool about it is that there are 4 options: dim to bright, flash fast, flash slow, on and off. It also comes in three different colours (black, navy or red), and the sizes range from extra small to extra-large. The battery lasts for 7-8 hours and is rechargeable via USB cable, which is included in the package.
My husband said that it was both comfortable and stylish. And I must say, it’s very on brand with his vintage fashion sense. It makes a shirt-and-trousers combo look classy and sophisticated. Anyone who wears this will stand out in a good way. My husband is going to wear them during his Christmas party at work, and during our family Christmas celebration. That’s how much he loves it.
Retailing at £32, Light House Braces might seem to be on the pricey side, but it also makes sense because it’s the creativity behind them that makes them worth the extra splurge. Besides, it they are extra in everything.
At the end of the day, what matters is whether Light House Braces can make you happy. My husband was beyond happy with it. In terms of quality, utility, comfort and style, Light House Braces are absolutely stellar. Don’t miss the chance to give a unique and chic Christmas present for the special men in your life.
