Belledorm Secret Garden Duvet Cover Set Review

At this time of year during the lead up to Mother’s Day, many of us are wondering what on earth to buy for our mother, so I was delighted to be gifted a beautiful Belledorm Secret Garden duvet set to review as a Mother’s Day gift idea. I was given a choice of sizes ranging from single to super king and selected the king size to fit my bed. The duvet set which I received is the Secret Garden design and comprises of a duvet cover and two matching pillowcases on a white background, with pink and blue flowers and pretty birds and butterflies. It’s a delightful set which will team well with my pale blue painted bedroom. Matching curtains can also be purchased and can be coordinated with plain dye sheeting. I like plain white sheets, which I feel look amazing with the lovely floral duvet set and look bright and cheerful. The overall look is reminiscent of being in a beautiful country garden with a host of wild flowers on a lovely summer’s day.

The Belledorm Secret Garden duvet set is comprised of a mix of 50% cotton and 50% polyester which means that it can be laundered at 40 degrees. I always see that many people are unsure of how often they should change and wash their bedding but I like to change mine at least once a week, partly because I have asthma and need to keep everything dust-free and partly because I just love the smell and feel of clean bedding. I’m confident that the bedding will stay looking fresh after each wash. Because of the cotton/polyester mix, the set needs very little in the way of ironing to stay crease-free and smooth which is an added bonus as most people can’t be bothered ironing. Being cosy and comfortable in bed is extremely important as I’m obsessed with having a good night’s sleep, so having the right mixture of materials ensures this. There’s nothing better than being able to lie in bed, relaxing with a soft, lightweight duvet providing warmth and comfort. The duvet cover needs to be light enough to keep you at a comfortable temperature and also look good. The Belledorm Secret Garden duvet set ticks all the right boxes by providing the comfort to deliver great sleep quality and also looking beautiful at the same time.

What I particularly like about the Belledorm duvet set are the hand holes at the top of each corner which make it so much easier to pull the duvet right up into the corners. As I am fairly short in height, I always seem to have trouble attempting to change the duvet cover and either end up wearing it or having to get help from another person. The hand holes ensure that I can now change the duvet cover without asking for assistance. The duvet cover fastens at the bottom with a series of buttons, thus ensuring it stays in place.

The quality of the duvet set is superb and I am very impressed at the low price of £33, reduced from the original price of £55, which is a tremendous saving. With the cost of living increasing constantly, it’s nice to be able to afford something which seems as luxurious as this duvet set at such a reasonable price.

It is so difficult finding a thoughtful Mother’s Day gift for your mother and many people just plump for the usual flowers and chocolates so the Belledorm Secret Garden duvet set would make a beautiful present which will be loved and appreciated for a long time. Snuggling down into new bedding has got to be the best feeling ever and knowing that someone loves you enough to treat you to this is amazing. I am very happy with my beautiful duvet set and am sure that any mother would absolutely love this as a gift.
