Balmonds Facial Oil Set Review

Reviewed by Lisa Cook

I was really excited to receive the Balmonds Facial Oils Set through the post. It came in the usual way, a sturdy padded envelope with a hand-written note inside (a great touch). The pack consists of two products, the first Omega-Rich Cleansing Oil and secondly Intensive Facial Oil.

The cleansing oil can be used to remove make-up and cleanse your face in general. The label states that the cleansing oil will suit dry, sensitive or allergy-prone skin. So, from my perspective I was off to a winner already. It’s in a sturdy plastic bottle that can be recycled and its 100% natural. The bottle says that it contains no perfumes, parabens, paraffin, SLS, phthalates, silicones, phenoxyethanol, PEGs, mineral oils or lies. Oh, and its suitable for vegans. What’s not to like?

I followed the directions and poured a small amount of the oil into the palm of my hands, then massaged around my face, of course being careful around my eye area. Leave a couple of minutes before wiping off. This can be done with either cotton wool, or a warm damp cloth. To be honest, I much prefer the warm cloth as it feels like you are adding that extra touch. This one smells pleasantly of rosehip and I really like it. You skin certainly feels clean and grease free.

Now the Intensive Facial Oil is amazing! If you are like me and spend a fair bit on beauty products, I am sure you will appreciate this oil. It comes in a 30ml glass bottle with a dropper. Again its 100% natural, suitable for vegans and the packaging is recyclable.

The second I opened the bottle I knew I would love this little bottle of oil. It smells of rosehip and lavender, but I can’t stress enough, how lovely it smells. The instructions say to place a small amount into the palm of your hand and then pat onto your skin. I tried this at first, and then just applied the droplets straight onto my face, so I wouldn’t waste any. It is incredible easy to rub into your skin, smells amazing and I can honestly say within a few days I could see a difference in the quality of my skin. It felt smoother, moisturised and those faint lines (or not so faint) lines around my eyes and mouth are beginning to fade. Even my 7-year-old daughter has commented on how well my skin looks!

If anyone is wondering what to get me (or any others in their lives) a present for Christmas I would definitely thank them for this. Certainly full marks, but that’s only because I can’t give it a higher rating. Go on, treat your family and friends I’m sure all the ladies out there would love this one!
