The Baby Kingdom luxury baby collection gift set is a range of five toiletries for babies made with organic ingredients, each product has ingredients that are of between 97-99% natural origin. The set includes baby shampoo, 2 in 1 hair and body wash, baby powder mist spray, body cream and nappy cream. All the products are Dermatologically tested and vegan friendly. They are hypoallergenic but it’s important to note that the website states that there are nut traces in all the products. All the products are free of parabens, SLS, silicones, mineral oil, PEGS, DEA and synthetic colours.
Individually they are attractively packaged, each product comes in a sturdy printed cardboard tube which opens easily into two halves to reveal a pump action plastic bottle with lid. All the packaging is 100% recyclable. The fragrance across the range is definitely a baby scent, not floral or botanical, just baby. It’s quite a long lasting fragrance although it isn’t overpowering.
We tried out all the products in a game of baby spa day which we all thoroughly enjoyed. The products do feel quite special as you unpack them all. First we tried the baby shampoo. The pump action bottle makes it easy to get a small amount out at a time, perfect for baby sized heads, it lathers up pleasantly and creates just the right amount of bubbles. Once dry the baby’s hair is lovely and fluffy and delicately scented. I also tried this on my older child but her hair is quite long and so benefits from a more conditioning shampoo.
Next we tried the 2 in 1 hair and body wash, it made just the right amount of bubble on the skin and felt very nice to use, it rinsed off easily and left the baby squeaky clean and ready for some powder. The talc free baby powder does a lovely job of absorbing excess moisture and felt really soft to rub onto the skin. The airless mist spray is nice and fine but sometimes gives a big puff of powder and sometimes hardly any comes out but we really enjoyed using it, the baby shouted ‘more!’ quite a lot.
We finished our baby spa experience with the body cream. This cream is silky and easily absorbed, the scent lasts for hours on the skin and we found it enjoyable to use although the pump bottle is a little tricky once you’ve got the cream on your hands. The next time I used it I squirted plenty out before I began and found that much easier.
When I tried the nappy cream, my baby had a little bit of nappy rash which she occasionally gets. I only used it for a couple of days before reverting to our old tried and tested cream as it didn’t seem to be clearing up. I noticed that you really need to make sure the skin is properly dry after washing as the consistency is more of a lotion texture than traditional nappy creams.
The beautifully presented Baby Kingdom luxury baby collection gift set, all made in the U.K, would make a nice Christmas gift for a baby.
