AO Service and Delivery of Samsung Series 5+ AddWash Review

This review starts with me needing to do washing on Friday 19th January, I did a load of washing only to realise there was a rather large puddle on the kitchen floor, tracing this back I found that my ten year old machine had a leak in the bottom. Being ten years old I decided that it was probably the better option to look into buying a new one rather than trying to get the old one fixed.
I spoke to my Mum who had just needed to buy a new dishwasher and she recommended looking on AO.com as she had ordered hers from there and couldn’t fault them.
I had a look on their website and also a few others to compare models and prices, I had a Samsung Eco Bubble previously and had no issues with it, so was keen to stick with the same brand. I found the Samsung Series 5+ AddWash and decided this was the machine for me – I have three young -ish children who fail to bring me all of their washing on the first trip, so having a machine where you can add mid wash seemed like a no brainer to me, bonus was it was only an extra £30 compared to another Samsung model.
AO actually had the best price so I decided to buy from them, especially with the recommendation from my Mum too.
I ordered the machine on Sunday 21st January for delivery on Tuesday 23rd January. Now ordering wasn’t actually smooth sailing, I had tried to order online and add the AO Five Star Membership – for £39.99 a year you get free unlimited delivery, including next day if it is available. Exclusive member deals, discounted prices and deals across a wide range of products. Free removal and recycling scheme when they deliver the new appliance they take away your old one. 100 day returns for if you change your mind or the product isn’t as expected. You also get free unpack, so your new item or appliance is taken out of its packaging and it is disposed of for you, possibly saving you a trip to the tip if it is a big appliance.
So back to the point, when I tried to order the machine and 5* membership, the system wouldn’t process my order, it had timed out, I tried a couple of times but the system just wouldn’t let me complete the order. I had to call their helpline instead to get the order processed and ordered, apparently this was a known issue at this time. This was an easy process however and in no time the machine was ordered and a date was set for delivery, I asked for delivery on a Tuesday as this worked best for me, next day delivery was available but not convenient for me.
As I had selected the Five Star Membership option I only needed to disconnect and move the old machine, I moved it outside the front door of my house ready for the new machine to be put into the kitchen when it arrived.
Delivery wise when you order you give your mobile number and email so you are constantly kept up to date with time slots, delivery is between 7am and 7pm, however they do give a 4 hour time slot and keep you up to date during the day, this then drops to an hour when they are closer and even give you a call when they are 5-10 minutes away. You also get access to a map so you can see what delivery they are on and how many stops there are before they get to you.
When they arrived they unpacked my new machine in the van and placed it in my kitchen as they deliver to the room that you need it to be in. They then took the old machine away and were here and done in about 5 minutes in total. Had I have wanted the old machine disconnected and the new one connected I could have paid extra, to connect the new machine would be £30, to remove and recycle the old machine is £25 (free if you buy the AO Five Star Membership), disconnection of the old machine is £10 and unpacking the new machine is £5 (again free with the AO Five Star Membership).

All in all the service from AO has been superb, delivery was fast and efficient, ordering was fairly straightforward, even though I had to call them to process the order and the AO Five Star Membership was worth the money and will be even more so if any of my other appliances need replacing within the next year. I would definitely order from them again and also recommend them to friends or family members.
