Almased Figure Plan

The Almased Figure Plan is a 14 day weight loss program within a 4 phase system.
The basics of the plan:
Phase 1: Day 1 to 3 – Aims to set the body up a detox in a sense with 3 shakes a day for 3 days.
Phase 2: Day 4 to 7 – One shake is dropped and the introduction of a low-carbohydrate meal for example shake meal shake or shake shake meal.
Phase 3: Day 8 to 11 – Drop another shake and have two meals and ideally a shake at the evening.
Phase 4: Day 12-14 – Is to follow your health eating 3 meals a day and a shake at breakfast or in the evening in order to maintain weight loss at a steadier speed. You go back to Phase 3 or 4 to lose more weight.
I did my plan phase 1, phase two and then phase 3 and followed phase 3 until I ran out of powder. On a positive note come pay day I will be purchasing some more as I felt comfortable with the plan and pleased with the results.
It was appealing to me that Almased is a natural product and their website is very informative and easy to navigate.
The basis is a meal replacement shake plan the powder can be mixed with milk or filtered water. The main ingredients are Soya, Honey and Yoghurt and my initial option was this isn’t going to taste nice at all. I was wrong it was rather lovely although I am not a fan of the chalky texture it had at the start by day 14 this was forgotten.
The only problem had was with the measurements and the powder to liquid ratio. This was a tad unclear the information leaflet gives one bit of advice and the tub another. I decided to measure it out based on my height. I found heaped table spoon a bit of a vague amount and 50g too specific to be practical I think if 50g is amount it would be really helpful to have a 50g scoop.
The shaker cup and little blender ball which are used to mix the shakes are genius (anything to make less washing up is a winner in my book) the blender ball made the mixing so simple.
One other little issue that niggled me was that there was no mention of the consumption of tea (I could not locate if there is). I could not find this on the FAQs and my email went unanswered. It was clear coffee was permitted so I began to drink coffee just to have my morning caffeine fix. I presumed that this lack of mention was more due to the company been German and tea is mainly consumed by us Brits as the bucket load where of European brothers and sisters prefer coffee. Anyway I did not really feel restricted or that anything was totally forbidden I was just wiser with my choices and avoided snacking for the sake of snacking.
I was expecting the first 3 days to be really hard and thought I would be hungry however I was surprisingly full and satisfied. The shakes let me and my willpower avoid the snack and biscuits when the kids were eating to their hearts content, which surprised me. I initially started drinking it with skimmed milk for the first 3 days and kept myself going by have my usual caffeine boost.
I decided when I was at work for 2 days a week that I would give it a go with water as it has less calories and I could just pick up a bottle when I was out and about. It’s less hassle than messing about with milk, so armed with my weaning pot with my pre-measured powder I felt like a pro. In fact it got to a stage where I found the shake with filtered water tasted very similar to the shake with semi skimmed milk.
Just so you know for the 14 day plan you will consume just over 2 500g tubs of Almased.
I did not check my weight loss until the end of 2 weeks and I lost just over ½ a stone. This was the boost I was looking for to kick start my weight loss.
I was back at work after phase one and it made my day to get into my uniform and see my trousers were looser, it was without a doubt not as tight on my thighs and hips and by the 1st week i had received compliments on my weight loss and how my hair was looking very shiny and my skin glowing.
In the 2nd phase, I opted for a breakfast shake. I cleaned my shaker cup and measured out my for my lunch time shake. Hunger hit me on my way home from work and the 2 days I was in and I have to admit I had a snack on my way home but I would usually have been eating my evening meal when the hunger hit and since my appetite has seemed to fall into a natural pattern the 6.30pm hunger prangs looking back are not surprising.
The trial went really well and I will be repeating it. Cost wise it isn’t cheapest or the most expensive but when looking at any diet or weight loss plan they are all in a similar price bracket.
I do believe however for successful results it is essential that you are strict with yourself and that you are prepared as especially when it comes to planning your meals have them ready has a menu set up the website has some fab ideas and a fair few veggie ones which was nice to see. It is recommended that you make your own vegetable broth to help with hunger prangs. I made a broth however I am not really a fan of soup or broth at the best of times and was unable to stomach the one and instead made a veg juice in my blender.
Also make sure you drink plenty of fluid have your water with you when my mixing cup was clean and empty I was filling it with freshly filtered water as drinking enough something I always struggle with.
I would recommend checking out their website and giving it a go to kick start your weight loss it has not been a walk in the park but I am pleased by the results and would do it again.
