This collection has a great. selection of goodies from the ffs range to set up your very own pamper session.  All the products are vegan and are handmade with 100% natural ingredients to nourish the skin and hair. I am increasingly seeking out beauty products made from natural ingredients with minimal packaging, so having the chance to test the  Botanical Collection was a perfect opportunity for me.

The box contains:

Hydrating Lip Serum 15ml

Detox Face Masque 45g

Moisturising Body Butter Bar 37g

Calmingly Floral Bath Salts 125g

Pink Clay Shampoo Bar 50g

This set arrived in a plain cardboard box and the items  inside were kept safe with shredded paper.  The shampoo bar and the  moisturising body butter are packaged in compostable plant based wrapping.  The face mask is in a cardboard container and the lip serum and bath salts are in reusable glass containers.  Full marks for being environmentally friendly here.

I could not wait to get started trialling and opened the lip balm immediately.  I was a bit concerned to find that the product is quite grainy when first applied, however, this soon melts and becomes  smooth and luxurious leaving the lips soft and moist and stays on the lips for a long time.  Ingredients include jojoba, castor and red raspberry seed oil.

The body butter was next to try and I was not disappointed with this product which is formulated with vitamin E.  It is so easy to apply the bar straight to the skin.  I just rubbed the bar over my body and the solid block soon turned to a buttery moisturising product that just melted into my skin.  This no mess formula lasted all day.  The ffs website says this product will provide up to 30 uses. The ingredients include rise hip seed oil, rose geranium and coconut oil.

Moving on to the shampoo bar, I was apprehensive when trying this, but there was no need.  This is another quality product which is sulphate and palm oil free. I simply wet my hair and then rubbed the bar over my scalp.  The product provided a good lather and was easy not rinse out.  I was delighted with the results as my scalp and hair felt very clean and the smell was amazing.  According to the ffs website this product can also be used as a body wash and is sufficient for 50 washes. This would be perfect when travelling as it takes up so little room and can be packed in hand luggage.

Continuing with the pampering, I progressed to the detox face masque.  Inside the cardboard tub I found a greyish powder which combines activated charcoal, lavender and tea tree oil.  Following the instructions I mixed this with water and applied to my face.  The appearance of the mask was not very appealing, but after leaving it on for the recommended time I rinsed it off to find my skin felt clean, soft and hydrated.

The final product to try was the calmingly floral bath salts.   These Dead Sea salts are beautifully  scented with rose geranium, and lavender and also include dried flower petals. They dissolve easily in warm water, have a subtle aroma and make the water soft and milky.  These salts make bathing a relaxing and soothing experience.

The ffs Botanical Collection would make the perfect gift, at any time  or even just as a treat for yourself. With Christmas just around the corner I would recommend a visit to the ffs website.
