T2 Tea – Discover A World Of Tea Done Differently Review

I love tea and firmly believe that a good cup of tea can help with most problems. I also come from a family of tea lovers and when I go home my mum will ask me many many times throughout the day whether I want a cup of tea. I do think that there is something quite soothing in the sort of ritual of tea making and that the whole act of putting the kettle on, getting a teapot out and getting your tea leaves is lovely but can be quite time consuming so the idea of a mug with an infuser to make it easier to drink loose leaf tea is perfect!

T2 is an Australian company which does have 4 stores in the UK (mostly around London) but also has a website that delivers to most places in the UK and has a variety of different gift packs which would be perfect for Mothers Day. I tried The Design Archives Gift Pack – The Bright Side but there are many other Design Archives Gift Packs in different colours so you are bound to find a pattern you like. These Design Archives Gift packs are limited edition so won’t be around long.

The products arrived in a plain cardboard box which opened to a beautiful cardboard box in the same print as the mug. The presentation is lovely and if you gave it to anyone as a gift they are bound to be impressed. This cardboard box then opens to display a fine bone china mug with infuser and a matching tin with ten different loose leaf teas. When I first saw the price of the gift pack (£32) I did think it was expensive but once I saw the quality of the products I felt it is worth that amount.

The mug in The Bright Side gift pack is gorgeous – it has a gold rim and gold trimming around the handle and then a variety of different colours in different shapes across the outside. The only downside is that as it is made of fine bone china it isn’t suitable for the dishwasher or microwave.

Then the infuser fits nicely into the mug (and therefore would fit nicely into any other mug that you might want to use it in) and you have a lid (in the same pretty pattern as the mug and tin) which is useful for keeping your tea hot while it is infusing. The ten different loose leaf tea sachets are all customer favourites and vary from English Breakfast and Lemongrass and Ginger to Packs a Peach and Fruitalicious. Each of the sachets tells you the optimum time to infuse the leaves which is really helpful.

T2 has a huge selection of other gifts as well as teawares (teapots and tea flasks etc) and of course a huge variety of tea (which you can get in tea bags or loose leaf form). I absolutely love this gift set and I know my mum would love it too. This is the perfect Mother’s Day gift for anyone who loves tea.
