With 3 young children under 5 I have been through my fair share of prams as our family has grown and I’m still not sure I managed to find one that ticked every box. We’ve had prams that were too big and didn’t fit in the car when we added the dog. Compact prams that then didn’t work when we had our second baby. Double prams which were very heavy, even more so when you add a toddler and a newborn, and finally a mid-range pram which is neither good nor bad. All in all, I’ve learnt a few lessons along the way, mainly do your research and go and look at the prams to see if they are a good fit for you.

On first look at the Didofy Aster V2 Pushchair my initial thoughts were mixed. I loved how compact it looked, the weight of the pram and how easy it was to fold up and down, however, as a shorter person when I looked at the pram, I did wonder how comfortable it would be to push around with the height on the handle which cannot be altered. Once we’d assembled the wheels and taken it out on a trip to the park, I had to take back my initial thoughts as I found easy to navigate. With a toddler’s hand to hold whilst I pushed the pram, I found that I didn’t suffer with aching shoulders in the same way I do with my own pram. It’s lightweight and easy to manoeuvre one handed which is a huge plus for me.

One of the main things I love about the Didofy Aster V2 is the one-handed fold down. On our trips out this past week, I have been able to take the baby out of the pushchair, fold the pram and lift it into the car all whilst holding her. It may only save me a minute or so each time I do this but it’s a great bonus when you have 3 children to watch.

Although the pushchair is compact and light weight it also boasts a decent sized basket, something my larger pram does not! With a shop not far from my house I do tend to walk with the children instead of taking the car. The Didofy Aster V2 was able to take a small top up shop without feeling like I had overloaded the basket. It also has a great little pocket on the bottom of the basket to store the rain cover, although I don’t seem to be able to fold the rain cover down to the same size as it started at!

Over the past week the pushchair has being used for a trip to the park, the school run, popping to the shop, a dog walk and walking to our baby classes. All in all, I’ve had a good experience with it, despite not being able to attach the buggy board so my middle child has had to do a little bit more walking this week. It’s lightweight, compact, easy to manoeuvre and adaptable for different sleeping/awake positions. Personally, I don’t think I would pick this pushchair from birth, not because it’s not safe, but because I like to see and interact with my little one whilst they are getting to know the world. My youngest is 10 months old and it’s ideal for her to be able to see where we are going and there’s plenty of growing room so I’m sure we will have lots of adventures.
