For ladies, choosing a watch to wear on their arm is like selecting their perfect shoes or handbag. It’s important to get the right size, colour and material for each outfit. Whatever the occasion, Radley have a style to suit, and their Watch it! Model RY2856 with an orange silicone strap makes a lovely addition to any wrist.

Radley are a familiar name London brand who combine a stylish design with quality materials and craftsmanship. Originally a handbag company selling on Camden market, the brand launched in 1988 bringing the trademark Scotty Dog logo to life. They have since expanded their range to include purses, jewellery, footwear and many other accessories along with their distinctive handbags.

At first glance, the small box it arrives in is just regular style packaging. However the real treat is hiding inside – a stunning cylindrical gift box made of sturdy cardboard with a lift off lid embossed with the Radley name. The lid fits snuggly and gave a feeling of quality as I carefully slid it off to reveal the stunning watch nestling around beautiful cream plush padding. The presentation of the watch really does make it feel like a superior timepiece to be treasured. It would be perfect as a gift or just a way of treating yourself.

The face of the watch is 33mm; which I felt was not too big and not too small. The dial has a rose gold coloured image of the iconic Radley dog on a white background. The hands and delicate spots that replace the numerals are also rose gold in colour. Around the rim of watch is plastic casing in a marble style design attached to which hangs a rose gold Radley dog charm. This charm did get trapped under the watch occasionally, which made it a little uncomfortable, however it looks like it would be easy to remove if necessary.

The silicone straps are easily connected with a buckle fastening. On first trying on the watch, I felt the strap was too much like a leisure-centre locker wristband – lightweight and slightly elasticated. However, on wearing the watch for a few days this became less noticeable and the strap felt more comfortable. It tucks neatly into the keepers, which help the strap sit smoothly to the wrist without catching on any clothing or other objects.
Accompanying the watch was a small booklet with information about the warranty, basic watch care and how to set the time. Important facts included the suggestion to use a qualified technician to replace the battery, avoiding sprays and cosmetics and the amount of water resistance.

I think this watch is a great price for the quality. The design is very stylish and the time is easy to read on the dial thanks to the size and design used. Although the material of the strap took a little getting used to, I did find it a great colour choice and very wearable with any outfit. Radley products are always made to last and I expect this watch to be no different.
