Bar + Block Steakhouse Whiteley Review

Yesterday, Wednesday 7th June, my partner and I had the pleasure of visiting and having lunch at Bar + Block Steakhouse in Whiteley, Hampshire. Whiteley is a shopping village with ample free parking and a number of restaurants and bars one of which is Bar + Block, a new steakhouse who have a choice of menus for you to choose from. We chose to have a meal from the Express menu.
When we arrived, we were greeted immediately and shown to a table that allowed us to sit comfortably and have a pram with us for our daughter. The menu choices were explained clearly and our drink orders taken. The restaurant was quiet with a number of staff members on duty which meant our food order was taken quickly, a big plus due to my partner being on his lunch hour. We chose to eat off the express menu because of the promise of being delivered within ten minutes and for under £10, again another plus in our book.
Whilst the express menu doesn’t have as many options as the full main menu, it offers good choice, quality and value for money. We had the Open Club Sandwich and the Classic 6oz Beef Burger both priced at £7.95 each. We ordered at 13.30 and our food was delivered at 13.36. Both the classic burger and the open club sandwich were served simply with fries. Both dishes were delicious and served with impeccable presentation. Our waiter was attentive throughout our visit and we were very impressed with the quality of the food for a reasonable price.
The restaurant was clean and had a lovely atmosphere despite being quiet. The staff pleasant and courteous. Bar + Block is in an ideal location for Whiteley Business Park and the express menu provides a quick, good value for money without sacrificing on quality of food.
Overall we would recommend this restaurant to others and give it a score of 4 out of 5 stars. We will definitely be returning.
