Inch Blue Oriental Bird Children’s Shoes Review

Reviewed by Sophie Emberson

We’ve had a pair of Inch Blue children’s shoes (Oriental Bird in white) a week now and so far we are quite impressed at the standard and quality of the leather and design.

The shoes arrived in a lovely hard plastic handbag style bag (which our 2 year old has already claimed as her own). The shoes as mentioned are the Oriental Bird style in white (also available in Buttermilk and Navy), they are a soft soled leather shoe with elasticated fastenings and stay on really well. They are easy to slip on and off and are very generous in size, we ordered the child’s medium (recommended for a 3-4 year old) for our daughter who generally wears a toddler size 6 and the shoes will more than definitely last her another good year to year and a half given the amount of room she has. The shoes are also designed to mild around your child’s feet and these do seem to be very comfortable (well we haven’t had any complaints just yet).

The bird stitched motifs are very sweet and look of a good quality there are a number of different designs for all age ranging from 0-6 years.

The website advises that the shoes should only be for indoor use and travelling in the car / pram, which I would agree with however our daughter has worn them out in the garden and they have protected her feet well against the pebbles on the garden path (although I wouldn’t let her out in wet weather in them).

They are very useful indoors with laminate flooring and our cold kitchen floor tiles. Our daughter usually hates wearing socks or slippers indoors but will willingly wear her soft soles, they have great grip being suede bottoms. They would be ideal for prewalkers and those who are finding their feet .

With a rrp of £20 they may be a little more than the average high street price for toddler shoes however the quality of them are really worth it and hand crafted, I genuinely would purchase another pair in a different style, once our daughter has outgrown these.

I think the proof really with shoes is how they feel on, and for our daughter it’s the first time with a pair of shoes that she has willingly put them on and has got excited by putting on shoes, and if we’d let her in pretty sure she would more than likely stay in them all day.

Rating: 5/5
