Holly and Beau Cats and Dogs Colour Changing Umbrella Review

I found this product delightful and so did my 3 year old daughter who helped me review it. I loved the bright colours and cute cats and dogs on the umbrella. I must say it was a hard choice between this one and the monsters but my daughter favoured this one.

What was specifically good was how quickly the umbrella dried after getting it wet, literally minutes after I got a section of the product wet it was mainly dry and back to its previous white colour on each character (they change to various other colours when wet). The colours are vibrant and clear and instant, it made my 3 year old jump with glee! I also liked the easy to use push and pull catch to open the umbrella with. So many times have I caught my fingers in the old style of them that it’s a breath of fresh air this thought has gone into the design.

While it has many pluses I could only find one fault but it’s quite substantial. The material is not so durable and I found it made tiny holes quite easily when my daughter made use of it (She dropped it on the floor a couple of times, let’s face it she’s 3). But really when you are caught out in a storm this is the kind bashing and thrashing you might come up against with the elements. I also found the metal base bent very easily but I managed to push it back into a straight line.

Really it’s better to take into consideration how much the actual product costs and weighing up whether it is worth it, and I would say it is. £16 is definitely a good price for a fun vibrant but not quite top of the range in material kind of product. If you were looking for improvements I would say the material could use a tougher exterior. But other than that we loved it!
