I was lucky enough to be selected to review the Razor B120 folding scooter from Tesco Direct.

The scooter arrived in its sturdy cardboard packaging and required some assembling, this I did find slightly difficult to do due to the tight fitting pieces which although was troublesome to do shows that the pieces are unlikely to come apart.

The scooter consists of a sturdy folding lightweight steel frame in a very smart chrome, black and red finish, weighing 14 kilograms when assembled. The height of the chrome handlebars is adjustable to suit and grow with the rider and finished with a pair of red hand cushioned foam grips. The deck is constructed from a sturdy black plastic with the Razor logo centralized in an oval shape which doubles as a high quality grip tape to provide for a more secure ride and helps keep the rider on through providing additional grip. The wheels are red in colour and constructed from a wear resistant and durable Urethane gel material which provide a smoother ride. As with all scooters it includes a press stop brake, operated by the heel of the rear foot during use, the brake is easily operated and very cooperative when required.

The scooter is suitable for both males and females as it consists of a unisex design. The scooter is not suitable for riders below 5 years and not suitable for anyone over 50 kilograms.

The scooter comes with a manufacture’s six month limited warranty from the date of purchase.

The recommended retail price for this scooter is a very reasonable £40 though it is currently on sale for a bargain price of £20 on Tesco Direct.

I conducted this review with my niece and nephew who are 12 and 14 years old. Both said that they enjoyed using the scooter and would recommend it to others.
