Cinderella Press Launch at the Grove Theatre Dunstable Review
Cinderella Press Launch
Grove Theatre, Dunstable
Written by Kirsty Webb
Last night I attended the Grove Theatre in Dunstable, Bedfordshire for the press launch of this year’s Christmas panto; Cinderella. Not only did the sight of Antony Costa all spangled up make my evening, but I felt whisked back to aged 8. Cinderella will be presented by Magic Beans Pantomimes. Supported by Costa and the Old Palace Lodge. Joshua Pascoe (EastEnders Ben Mitchell) and Leslie Grantham (EastEnders Dirty Den), both bad boys, playing the role of the ugly sisters, Antony Costa (blue) as Prince Charming, Lucy Reed as Cinderella, Jasette Amos as the fairy godmother, Mawaan Rizwan from CBBC as buttons.
The Grove staff were extremely welcoming, full of smiles and more than happy to guide me up the stairs into the upper foyer, where glasses of champagne and fresh orange were in abundance! Canapés of basil and salsa were brought round by cheery waiters as we waited for this year’s stars to make their appearances. Their enthusiasm was inspiring, as they spoke about this year’s panto, which runs from Friday 11th December 2015 to the 3rd January 2016. Tickets are priced at £24.50 in the stalls, £20.50 in the circle. Family tickets are available at £18 per person in the stalls (minimum of 2 children) and £16 per person in the circle (minimum of 2 children).
Cinderella promises to be a wonderful show for every age group, and at 2 showings most days (3 on occasion) it’s a must see this Christmas.
