We decided to order a personalised book for our youngest daughter Tara (aged 5 years). After logging onto the website, which was bright and colourful, the first thing we had to do was to choose the title of the book. There are quite a range of titles to choose from and you choose if it’s for a boy or a girl. The website gives a step by step guide to personalising and ordering your book which is easy to follow, but be sure to read every specification for the photograph size etc. as this can hold up the order process. However, as we found out, Fabuloos Dreams are fairly quick to respond with any queries they have.
We ordered a story called Tara’s Red Balloon.
The book arrived in a padded envelope so was in a perfect undamaged condition. It is a hardback, spiral-bound book on good quality paper with a photograph of your child on the front and each double page inside. You also get the opportunity to include other family members or friends names in the story.
On opening the package, Tara’s face lit up when she saw a photograph of herself on a “real” book. Her older sister Niamh then enjoyed finding out how she helped her sister on her adventure, however I do wonder if the names you can add could be integrated more in the story. The story was fun to read, and as the writing is clear, fairly big and set out well, it is a book Tara can read herself. The illustrations in the book are bright and colourful and give a really nice feel to the story.
I did wonder if the price was a little excessive (£32.24), however, when the book arrived, it is clear the quality of the book reflects the price, and we feel that this is a fantastic keepsake for Tara that she can look back on in years to come.
One other small thing to bear in mind is as the company is Spanish, the delivery time can take up to 20 days, so this isn’t a present to be bought last minute.
I highly recommend the books to others and give the product 4 out of 5.
