I was really excited to receive this beautifully presented Only Curls Starter Bundle through the post today. It has been something on my gift wish list for a while but unfortunately never made it into my hands. I have previously brought baseball hats and bobble hats from Only Curls which has made me aware of the haircare regime. I’ve heard good things so hopefully it wouldn’t disappoint.

The packaging immediately stood out — bright, fresh and with a logo designed to celebrate the curl. The package arrived in easy opening branded boxes exclaiming that “Great curl days are here.” Inside the box I found my Starter kit and microfibre cloth together with a leaflet containing a QR code that provides tutorials for every curl type. So if you have Curly, Wavey or Coily curls it’s great to scan the QR Code first. The videos are quick, less than a minute of your time but they give you the method you need.

I was really looking forward to seeing how each product would perform and how they would work together as a full routine. The set had a sleeve that also reiterated the steps to follow. The instructions were clear and easy to follow.

The microfibre towel was a great addition, especially for reducing frizz and helping my curls form naturally. I felt like this is something that I would recommend to a friend or purchase again so I had a spare. It felt so soft and luxurious and when using, it removed the water from my hair, without affecting the formation of the curls. It’s much gentler than a normal towel and I would use as part of my hair care routine going forward. I did think £18 for the towel alone was a bit of a luxury, but upon using it I would say it was worth it.

After trying the full routine, I was genuinely impressed. My curls felt hydrated, defined, and noticeably smoother. The Cleanser and Conditioner worked beautifully together, leaving my hair soft without feeling heavy. I was really impressed as they smelt amazing but I’ve seen from the Only Curls website that there are fragrance free versions of the shampoo and conditioner if you preferred.

Running a comb through my hair with the conditioner on, my hair felt so sleek and moisturised. The Hydrating Curl Crème added moisture and shape, while the Gel helped lock everything in.

The results were exactly what the bundle promised — frizz control, hydration, and definition. My curls looked more uniform and felt healthier.

Overall, I was very impressed with the Only Curls Starter Bundle. The packaging was bright and joyful, the products felt premium, and the performance lived up to expectations. It’s a fantastic introduction to the Only Curls range and a great way to build a curl‑friendly routine.

The only thing I would change would be to have a small sample of finishing oil to complete the set. I find a bit of oil leaves me with a bit of a softer curl and after drying my hair, I was left with defined curls, but it had a bit of a crunch to it. A bit of guidance on the starter pack sleeve or on the guidance videos would have made this a 5 out of 5.
