I received a package from Shaken Udder and the parcel we received contained 9 small cartons of milkshake – 3 banana, 3 strawberry and 3 chocolate. Each carton contains 200ml. They come packaged in packs of 3 and are aimed at children, especially for lunchboxes. The carton states they are “school approved”, meeting government guidelines for use in schools.
The cartons have a straw attached which is “telescopic”, where you pull half of the straw out of the middle of the other half. This is much better than the usual bendy straw you get as it avoids spills. The cartons are easy to open, with the straw going straight into the carton.
The cartons are not square, but neither round. They have rounded edges which are great for little hands to hold. The different shape also helps stop squeezing, which can often mean the contents of the carton coming back out of the straw.
Each milkshake is made with real ingredients and does not contain any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives which is excellent.
Onto the taste test – each flavour was tried by both an adult and a child and we thought they were really good. As they contain real ingredients, such as banana, chocolate or strawberry, they don’t taste fake like some other milkshakes do. They aren’t too sweet, and are simply nicely flavoured milk.
My 5 year old says “they are really really really yummy. The chocolate ones were the best because I really like chocolate milkshake”.
She has in fact asked for more today, as she likes them so much so they are a big hit here!
