	Cheese Touch Board Game
Reviewed by David Savage
Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a popular series of books and films and is now a very funny board game for kids. The first player to reach the finish line without holding the cheese is the winner. Suitable for 3-6 players from age 8+
I gave this to my 2 nieces, ages 11 and 13, to play and as you need 3 players I was forced to join in and judging from the giggling they both enjoyed it.
	Box contents:
	1 Game Board
	6 Mover Pieces
	180 Game Cards
	1 Dice
	1 Cheese Touch Piece
	1 Instructions Sheet
	Game Setup
Setting up the board to play is very easy. Place the game board (this is a small board so will take up much room) on the table. Each player takes one of the mover pieces, each is a character from the books: Greg, Rodrick, Manny, Rowley, Holly or Fregley, and puts in on the start. Separate the cards in the five different decks (Who Said What? Yes or No? Do It Like This, Great Minds Think Alike and Randomness). The oldest player, being me, had to hold the cheese! We were now ready to start playing. You will need some pens and paper to write answers down (these are not supplied).
	Game Play
The youngest player starts first buy rolling the dice and moving forward that number of spaces (the dice is numbered 1-3 so the maximum move is 3 spaces).Depending on what space you land determines what happens next.
Who Said What? – the player whose turn it is takes a Who Said What? Card and read it aloud while the other players write down their answer and hands them to the player whose turn it is next. They mix up the slips up the paper, read all the answers out loud and has to guess what answer belongs to who. For every correct guess you can move a space. If you get none right the cheese is passed to you.
Yes or No? – the player whose turn it is takes a Yes or No? card and read it aloud. The other players write down their answer and place it in front of them face down. The player now has to guess each answer and moves a space for each correct one. Remember if you don’t get one correct you get the cheese.
Do It Like This – the player who lands here takes a Do It Like This card and without looking at it gives it to the player whose turn it is next. They then have to act out the answer without speaking. If you guess the answer you can move 3 spaces, if you get it wrong the card moves to the next person to act out (you have 5 tries to get it right). If you fail you get the cheese.
Great Minds Think Alike – the player whose turns it is takes a Great Minds Think Alike card and reads in to themselves, they then read it to another player they think will get the same answer as the and you both right it on a bit of paper. Show them at the same time and if the answers match you can both move 3 spaces, if wrong the player whose turn is was gets the cheese.
Randomness – the player who lands here picks a Randomness card, read it aloud and follows the directions on the card.
The first player to reach the finish without the cheese is the winner. If you get to the finish and you have the cheese you can pick any card and play it, if you win the challenge you win the game otherwise on your next turn you have another challenge and get going like this until someone else gets to the finish and wins or you win a challenge and get rid of the cheese.
	Overall
This is a great fun game that gets to see how much you know about your fellow players and great for encouraging social skills. Lots of fun and easy to play.
Both my nieces loved this game and were in constant fits of giggles (and I have to admit I did enjoy it too).
With a RRP of £14.95 it is excellent value for money and would make an ideal Christmas present.
