Pie Face Review

Reviewed by Emma Booth

When Pie Face arrived my daughter couldn’t wait to open the game and start playing. The box was bright and colourful and easy to open. The game it’s self was easy to put together and doesn’t need battery’s which is always a bonus. Having the instructions written on the back of the box means you don’t have to worry about losing them and all the contents fit nicely back in the box when you’re finished.

The game is nice and easy to play and something the whole family can enjoy. When you start playing the first person that gets pie faced is hilarious you can replace the sponge that comes with it and use cream instead (not included).

To play each player takes turns placing their face on the chin rest. The throwing arm is loaded with the biggest whipped cream pie you can fit on it. Then spin the spinner and turn the crank the designated number of times, if you are successful you won’t get a pie in the face and receive 1 point. The first to 25 points in the winner. But beware, if you get a pie in the face you also lose points, as well as looking silly with a face full of whipped cream.

On the down side after only a short while of playing with it one of the handles kept coming out and the face mask kept getting knocked of easily. It’s not as sturdy as it could be which is such a shame as I’ve not seen a game like this and it gave us all a good laugh.

If this was made a bit sturdier this would be brilliant, but because of this I would give this a 3/5.
