African Cats is a nature film from Disney about 2 rival prides of lions and their families filmed entirely in the wilds of Kenya over 2½ years.

To the south are the River Pride, 6 lionesses and their cubs ruled and protected by Fang and in the north, separated by a crocodile infested river, is Kali and his five sons and a female cheetah (Sita) and her 5 cubs.

When Kali and his sons cross the river it becomes survival of the fittest to see if Fang or Kali will rule the pride.

Disney’s African Cats is a great film, narrated by Samuel L Jackson, showing how the lions protect their cubs, hunt for food and train their offspring to survive in the wild. As well as an entertaining film that kids will enjoy it is also educational too. It also has humour especially with one of the young cubs playing with a tortoise and “couldn’t get the lid off”.

African Cats is a great entertaining nature film that the whole family will enjoy and It is very well narrated by Samuel L Jackson.
