In the town of Thneedville everyone is happy. Or so they seem.  On the surface the town seems to thrive, breathing in pure air which they purchase from by the apparently philanthropic O'Hare (Rob Riggle) who says he has everyone's best interest at heart.  But once, long ago, the town was a beautiful oasis of calm, tranquillity and fresh, free air until the arrival of The Once-ler (Ed Helms). In his journey to success he unwittingly releases The Lorax (Danny De Vito). Thneedville needs a hero; enter young Ted (Zac Efron) who is trying to capture the heart of Audrey (Taylor Swift).

A magical, witty and philosophical tale from the pen of Dr Seuss made possible by cute, powerful and intriguing characters, most of whom are determined to save the day. When I asked my 8 year old son what he made of the movie he said "it's about keeping promises" – so for any small but aspiring heroes that's got to be a movie worth seeing.

Now showing in cinemas nationwide.
