Having just had a trip to the dentist with my children, being picked for this review came at a great time for us to review our oral hygiene routine and renew it. The Spotlight Oral Care brand has been founded and created by 2 dentists with a goal to “create the safest and most effective oral health products for our patients”. They offer a wide range of products not just for children, but for all ages, from flossing to tooth brushing and tooth pastes to whitening aids. This set is ideal for children from 2 and up.

In this cute koala gift set came an electric tooth bush (in its own box, with a charger and 3 heads), toothpaste (strawberry cake flavour), floss picks (strawberry flavour), stickers and a notebook. It is all beautifully boxed, with a cute Koala image on everything, it is an eye-catching, engaging set, that my daughter saw immediately and asked what it was.

The tooth brush is white with a purple koala on and an on off button and a textured handle for easy grip, the charge port is at the bottom and it charges with a USBC cable which is included. The toothbrush has 3 heads that come with it – replacement heads are RRP £6.99 for 3. The toothbrush has a 2 minute timer and a reminder every 30 seconds so that your child can spend the correct amount of time on each side, top and bottom of their mouth.

The toothpaste is strawberry cake flavoured and I am assured by my 9 year old that is tastes really good and she actually wants to do her teeth with it, as do her 11 and 12 year old brothers! That’s a win for a start in my eyes.

The floss picks are not something my children have used before as it’s not something that I thought were age appropriate so to have some that are specifically sized and aimed at children is new for us and the start of a new oral hygiene routine, these are priced at RRP £5.95 for 50. They are easy to use and we are hoping that they make a good difference and the dentist can see that extra effort that has gone in to our new routines.

Also included in the box were some KoKo Koala stickers that are really good quality and a very good size too, more of a premium sticker than your everyday paper sticker. Then a note book too, this is unlined and good quality paper, perfect for note taking or drawing, doodling or journaling depending on the age of the recipient. The notebook also has a purple bookmark satin ribbon so that you can easily find your place should you wish to use it.

This gift set is the perfect addition for under the tree, you are getting some premium oral hygiene items and at the same time getting a cute little stationary add on too. If you are thinking of getting Santa to upgrade toothbrushes for Christmas or you are looking to add some under the tree yourself, have a look through the range that Spotlight Oral Care has to offer as there is something for everyone and all at a good price too. If you have young children that are just getting their teeth through and starting to need a good toothbrush you wouldn’t go far wrong with a set from Spotlight Oral Care.
