On Sunday my husband two kids and I visited the Great British Carvery at Memphis Belle, Warrington. On arrival we got a warm welcome and were shown straight to a table. A full table service is provided so no queuing for drinks which was a great start to a great meal and evening out. Our waitress Angela was great and explained how the carvery worked so I got in a short line to get the kids meals, they both choose roast beef while my husband ordered our starters. He choose potted pork, chicken liver and real ale pate which he said was gorgeous (he ate it before I got a chance to sample it) and I went for the North Atlantic prawn cocktail which was very nice. For our main meal we also both went for the carvery. All meat is red tractor assured and the choice of meats were matured Saxon British beef, Norfolk turkey, stuffed belly of pork and some days there is also a gammon or a shoulder of lamb. All the trimmings included Yorkshire pudding, chipolata sausage and stuffing as well as potatoes and plenty of vegetables and two types of gravy. It was one of the best Sunday dinners I have had apart from at home of course…

The restaurant was fairly busy but service was great and the kids were given crayons to keep them happy too!

On to dessert, wow, what can I say the choice was amazing and after much thought I went for baked lemon tart with raspberry sorbet and it was delicious. My hubby had the double chocolate fudge cake (warm) with vanilla ice cream and I did get a taste of it and it was heaven on a plate. I would highly recommend trying this great place to eat for yourself I will be eating here again very soon.
