The Circus of Horrors: Psycho Asylum at The Capitol Horsham Review

Me and my partner went to see The Circus of Horrors Psycho Asylum tour showing at The Capitol theatre in Horsham. We found parking just across the road for £1 evening parking but for shows during the day you’ll have to find alternative parking, there is parking around the corner.
The Circus of Horrors is a mixture of acts from sword swallowing, knife throwing, contortionist and loads more with a live rock and roll band telling a story about a psycho asylum full of freaky and weird inhabitants. This is the 3rd time I’ve seen The Circus of Horrors and each year the show is based on a different theme telling a different story through the amazing acts. I did wonder if there would be enough new content to keep me amazed but was pleasantly surprised, and this show I think I enjoyed the most.
The show contains a lot of bad language, nudity and is an adult theme throughout so do be warned, if you are easily offended this is probably not the show for you. The sword swallowing was hard to watch but so amazing and the contortionist was brilliant, but you almost can’t watch as he twists his body right around. I really enjoyed the act where they bring in a bloke and chainsaw his legs off, it looks so realistic, he was brilliant.
There is such a variety of acts, all weird and great fun to watch. The show is full of laughs and I loved the little guy with the hover, I won’t say what he does but for his act alone it’s a must see. The live band were incredible.
We both enjoyed the show and can’t wait until they come back next year with no doubt another great show. The Circus of Horrors is still touring the country showing at Blackpool, Ipswich, Hull plus loads more places so I’m sure there will be a showing near you soon and I would wholeheartedly recommend this as a great evening out, full of fun, laughter and lots of surprises!
