Have you ever wondered if the alcohol you consumed the night before is still in your system the next day? Are you concerned that you may be over the limit and not legally fit to drive? Would you like to be able to take a test at home before you get behind the wheel? If the answer to any of these questions is yes then the Alcosense Lite 2 breathalyser might be the product for you. Quick and simple to use with immediate results, this small monitor could be just what you need to give you the reassurance that your body has digested alcohol and you are safe to drive the morning after.

The Alcosense Lite 2 was designed in Britain and is made to manufacture standard ISO9001. It arrived neatly boxed with minimal packaging and comes with 3 AAA batteries which it requires to operate it, two pack of three blow tubes and a small instruction manual to guide you through the testing process. The hand held breathalyser is small enough to fit into the palm of your hand and has an easy to read display for the results.

The device is simple to set up with minimum fuss, following the instructions in the manual. It self calibrates to ensure accurate results. Once the batteries are in place switch on and it will automatically perform a self clean which takes a couple of minutes and you are ready to perform a test. To do this you just need to insert a tube into the side slot and blow steadily for 6-7 seconds until you hear a beep. You can then look at the display for your results which are clear and easy to read. It could not be simpler. The first time I tried out the device, I hadn’t blown into the tube for the appropriate time or my breath had not been continuous, but the device displayed FLO that my sample was not acceptable so I went ahead and tried again. Second time lucky and I was happy to see that my reading was Lo, zero or trace alcohol in my system, I had only consumed a couple of beers the previous evening, but felt reassured that the alcohol had cleared my system and I was fit to drive. The manual shows that if alcohol is present the display will show 02, Alcohol present – DO NOT DRIVE, below limit, still have alcohol in your system, 04 – DO NOT DRIVE you are close to or over the limit, HI – DO NOT DRIVE the samples alcohol level is above 2C and is outside the reading range of this device.

For anyone who travels the Alcosense Lite 2 is suitable for use in other jurisdictions and can be set to the appropriate blood breath ratio for 32 different countries prior to use. It comes with a standard one year manufacturers guarantee which can be upgrades to three years if registered within 30 days from purchase. Additional blow tubes can be purchased at a cost of £4.99 per pack of 20.

The Alcosense Lite 2 is a discreet and portable breathalyser “ideal for the morning after”. It enables simple self testing to provide confidence that you are fit to drive.
