I got this item for my 3 year old grandson, although my 7 year old granddaughter used to be a big Bluey fan. They both like playsets and imaginative play.

Bluey is a preschool children’s animated television series about an Australian six-year-old Blue Heeler puppy who has an abundance of energy, imagination and curiosity of the world. Other characters featured each represent a different dog breed. The programme focusses on family, growing up and Australian culture.  Blueys School Playset is manufactured for Europe & UK by Moose Toys Ltd.

This item included a school house, two figures with moving arms and legs – Bluey and her Dalmation friend Chloe, a cove, a fort, a bench, a hat and stickers. The figures seem to be good but the school house is maybe a bit flimsy.
When I gave it to my grandson, he was excited to open it and see what was in the box. The packaging was good but quite difficult to get into – my grandson was getting a bit impatient waiting for me to cut the ties and open pieces which were sealed in the plastic. He spent time looking at the pieces but was unclear what one of the bits was. There was a packet of stickers included but he was not sure where to put them and ended up just sticking them on the roof of the school house. Maybe the stickers are just to stick onto a piece of paper. The cardboard piece which should fit at the back of the cove did not seem to fit in properly – a bit annoying as it kept falling out. He played for a little while but was not really engaged with it for any length of time. I don’t think this is particularly about this toy – he doesn’t always play with one thing for very long.

When my granddaughter came round she was excited when she saw it saying “Ooh, I love Bluey” She immediately looked at all the pieces and began to set it up asking her brother to be Bluey, while she was Chloe. She added other pieces of furniture from other playsets to make a bigger set. She was happy for a while playing and said she would give it 8 out of 10 and would play with it again.

Once finished playing all the pieces fit inside the playhouse and it folds away so not too much storage space.
I think this playset is good for Bluey fans although there are a couple of things that could be improved. The instruction sheet is not great, the back piece for the cove does not fit and not sure what the stickers are for. Otherwise good.
I wonder if you can buy other family members and friends so that there are more figures to play with. Definitely a good toy for imaginative play for 3 – 6 year olds. Would be a good addition for a childminder or playgroup. Not sure it is worth the higher price of £34.99.
