X-SHOT Insanity Bezerko (48 Darts) AGE 8+ Review

We are a big fan of dart blasters in our household.  We even have a blaster wall but we have never had anything quite like the X-SHOT Insanity Bezerko.  It was really securely boxed so it arrived in pristine condition.

The packaging was as minimal as possible.  There wasn’t much assembly needed.  There was a slider that was secured in a box within the packaging that I just needed to screw in, then insert the two side modular dart storage units and one modular dart storage unit on the top.  The picture instructions were really easy to follow and the pieces slotted together effortlessly.  It took a few seconds for it to all slot together.  Although it took seconds, with a very excited child trying to rush you, it was not quick enough for him!

X-Shot is a brand owned by the company Zuru.  They have been selling blasters since 2011 and have increased their range with the Insanity range being released in 2023.  The Berzerko is part of the “Insanity” blaster range.  The available blasters include; X-Shot Insanity Motorized Rage Fire, X-Shot Insanity Mad Mega Barrel and X- Shot Insanity Manic. The great thing about the X-Shot blasters is that they are such a great price, not too expensive and very sturdy which is great as our blaster fights can get quite raucous.  Items from the range can be bought and used independently but can be put together to create one big blaster which is amazing.  I was however a bit disappointed that the X-SHOT Insanity Bezerko could not be connected to the big combined blaster.

The Berzerko was a lot bigger than I expected it to be so was a little worried about whether our son would be able to use it.  But it was no issue at all.  If you’ve ever been shot on the backside whilst running away from an excited child wielding a loaded blaster … You can imagine the fear in my eyes and the cackles that followed!  This toy gave us so many giggles and the want to purchase more.  The blaster range has very distinctive colourings, with a blue blaster with and orange barrel with coordinating orange and blue darts.  It’s great that the set is so coordinated.

If you are thinking of buying this or any other blaster in the X-Shot range I would highly recommend purchasing some extra darts which are sold separately.  One of the features of the Berzerko is that it rapid fires 8 darts in a matter of seconds which is very fast indeed.  The modular storage units hold up to 66 additional darts, it was just a shame that the set only came with 48 darts so when everything was put together, it felt like something was missing as there were gaps.  Another of the features of the Berzerko is that it can fire up to 27 metres which is an amazing distance. Unfortunately we haven’t anywhere to test out that kind of distance but it was more than powerful enough on the house!

We absolutely loved the Berzerko Insanity blaster.  We had absolutely hours of side splitting fun.  It’s easy to use and I’m sure we will be purchasing at least another item or some more from the collection.  Definitely great for Christmas or presents!  Highly recommend!
