We was invited to Westfields W12 to review the VR experience Viva Las Vengeance which is a film on Netflix.
The movie Army of the dead is set in Las Vegas amongst a zombie apocalypse where a group of mercenaries risk a massive bank hoist in the part of the city that’s overrun with the undead.

The experience at Westfields is a touring attraction so won’t be around for ever, so hurry up and get your tickets.
On arrival at Westfields we easily found parking and made our way to the venue which again was easy to find.
We were instantly impressed by the set up and the friendly staff who dress the part to fight the zombies.  The VR experience was fully immersive so we were in VR headsets and motion pads on our hands.  You feel and see everything that goes on and it’s honestly like being in a Hollywood blockbuster.  When you first check-in and choose your aviator and you choose your weapons you get a briefing from the team and you become a mercenary help in the military to rescue civilians from the city that’s over run with the undead.  You enter the vehicle which is a taco truck and where in the headsets you begin your mission you feel every bump in the road and explosions.  The visual effects are brilliant.  It really feels real and gets your adrenaline flowing.  Everyone looks like the aviator they chose so knowing who is in your group was rather strange I felt.

With full body capture capabilities you are completely engrossed in the experience.  The zombies are attacking from every angle and the motion platform feels like you’re really moving.

VR Experience promises a multiplayer multisensory adventure and it lives up to that promise.  You don’t need to be a gamer to enjoy this.  We went as a family of five aged between 50 and 15 and we all loved it.  Army of the dead is a collaboration between Netflix fever and pure imagination studios.  Army of the dead is a touring attraction.  It is only in London for a limited period so be quick to book it will be very popular.  We give it five stars.

After your mission is complete you can get to visit the gift shop you can get souvenir photos taken and buy them if you wish.  They have free lockers to keep your belongings safe and everything was done Covid safe with small groups and sanitised in between sessions.   I would happily pay to do this again.

Prices are from £18 per person. The whole experience takes around half an hour but the adrenaline buzz lasted for hours

Rating: 5/5
