Uh Oh Milo! Gift Review

A fairly recent tradition for younger children and one that is proving to be very popular is the Christmas Eve box, which is essentially a small gift filled box to get your child ready for the big day itself. It’s nice to be able to fill the boxes with something for your child to wear, something to eat, something to read and something for Santa or Rudolph, not that they need an excuse to get even more excited on Christmas Eve!! It can be difficult though, to find something different from the normal high street products so I was very pleased to be offered some Christmas gifts from the “Uh Oh Milo” range to review.

Uh Oh Milo, is a range of books, gifts and clothes about Milo, a little boy, Mary his sister their granny and the Mischief Makers which are fun mischievous monsters. I hadn’t heard of the brand before and so headed to the website https://uhohmilo.com/ to see what it was all about. The first thing that caught my eye was that their books are award winning, as voted by some well-known children’s websites and their readers, so that gave me a good guide that the items would be great quality.

When the parcel arrived from Uh Oh Milo, I wasn’t disappointed. I received three items, a picture book, a long sleeve t shirt and a place mat, all Christmas themed and in lovely bright colours. I loved the design on the front of the book, The Excited Elf, it looked festive and magical and clearly showed all the characters. Inside was just as fun, a lovely rhyming picture story, showing one of the Mischief Makers, making mischief in his Christmas hat. The place mat that I received was one of a large range of Christmas designs of both mats and coasters. It was a really good size, with a cork backing, and had places to put mince pies for Santa and a carrot for Rudolph.  Covered in a lovely shiny festive red with a purple Mischief maker in the corner, duly wearing his Christmas hat, it will make a fabulous addition to the Christmas eve table, I know my son is going to love adding his treats to it for the reindeers and Santa. The t shirt comes in two types, long sleeve and short sleeve, I chose the long sleeve as we are bound to be out and about on Christmas Eve and it is a great fun design with white front and back and red sleeves. Emblazoned on the front are the words “It’s Christmas Eve” underneath a purple Mischief Maker looking like he is jumping through the front of the t shirt. Its very Christmassy but not traditional, so brilliant if you like alternative designs, I thought it was really fun. One of the things that really surprised me was the size range as they go right up to age 9/10, perfect for siblings of younger children. So often is hard to find matching clothes that aren’t babyish by the age of 10.

There is something for every budget in the Uh Oh Milo! Online shop with coasters in loads of fun designs, starting from £3.99, right up to the combined bundles of clothes and gifts at just under £30.00. The products were great quality and good value for money, and I wouldn’t hesitate to visit the website again to choose from their delightful range of books and gifts such as snow globes and water bottles.
