Tomy Toomies Spin And Hatch Dino Eggs Review

Oh WOW, these are so cute and adorable.

I gave this to my 26 month old great nephew who decided that he would throw them and discovered they made noises. As with many of the Tomy toys, there is so much for any and toddler to interactive with and sensory perspective that they will have lots to learn and discover from playing with this toy.

There is a Jurassic World spinning incubator with 5 baby dinosaurs. In order to see the dinosaurs pop out and hatch, take the incubator lid off and just push the yellow button up and down on top of the incubator to spin the eggs. As you do this, watch them spin out of the incubator and hatch.

The colours are bright, vibrant and bold which is great for sensory play and as baby gets older, it will be a great way for them to learn their colours.

The different coloured eggs and dinosaurs can be matched or easily swapped around to mix up the colours.

The colour of the eggs are as follows:-
Blue
Teal
Purple
Orange
Pink

The colour of the baby dinosaurs are as follows:-
Pink
Blue
Orange
Green
Yellow

When the baby dinosaurs are shaken, they make sure a cute growling noise. My great nephew loved it, he would either mimic the sound or laugh, he really did have some belly laughs and loves them so much that when he goes out, he wants to take one with him. He chooses a different one each time. Bless him.

The dinosaur are made of a rubber type material and are very robust.

Each of the brightly coloured eggs are interchangeable so you can mix and match, again, great for sensory work which help baby and toddler to learn whilst playing, interacting and having fun. It really doesn’t matter how you put them together, the combinations are fun, interactive and most certainly will help to teach baby and toddler as they gradually grow.

Another bonus to these and as we sometime do with the Hide and Squeak range, we used the bases to put boiled eggs in them, I then put them in to the incubator. My great nephew knows not to spin them when the real eggs are in it. He loves to know that when we have dippy eggs and soldiers, we can use the incubator for the eggs. It just makes it for more fun when it comes to eating and learning at the same time.

As with any toy that comes with loose parts, you will need to make sure you supervise the child at all times.

Overall, I am really impressed with this toy but I always am when it comes to Tomy and their Toomies range are brilliant. The quality and workmanship of it is great and the concept is absolutely brilliant. Without a shadow of a doubt, I would most certainly recommend anyone thinking of buying it to do just that. Not just from a toy perspective but the interaction, the learning and bonding too. Such a fab toy.
