Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales at The Lowry Manchester Review

Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales was a terrific treat for my toddler! She turned 4 the day before and it was such a special event for her.

Although she hadn’t read all of the books referenced – Monkey Puzzle in particular, this didn’t affect her enjoyment.

The 3 male actors were engaging, enthusiastic and acted as if were playing to a house of equals, the fact the average age was about 6, didn’t stop them giving 100%. The sweaty brows were proof enough.

My daughter loved it so much she has been searching YouTube for any clips of the show. I’ve been singing the song ‘Monkey’ non-stop too.

The props were so imaginative and I’d love to see how they were created. Great for young role-players. Maybe some hints and tips what to use may be good.

The only suggestion is that with it being written in verse, the children could have been invited to suggest rhyming words as some interaction.
