This is a fantastic and one to see play at the Octagon Theatre Bolton. This small but neat theatre is showing a compelling look into the life of one the most loved and iconic soap stars Miss Pat Phoenix that was Elsie Tanner (Coronation Street) by Ron Rose. This production of the life and loves and the lows and highs of Pat Phoenix which was told and portrayed by a small group of actors who brought to life the story of Pat Phoenix. The role of Pat was portrayed brilliantly by Lynda Rooke she played and looked the part as Pat with passion and devotion that was Pat Phoenix herself. She gave a fantastic performance throughout the play.

This Production was full of passion, drama, laughs and tears. Pat’s one and only real true love (Tony Booth) was played by John McArdle, John played Tony in such a way that Tony himself would of been proud of. He showed the passion and the devotion that he had for Pat right up until the end. The rest of the cast Paul-Ryan Carberry, Charlie Covell, Matt Healy and Sally Hodgkiss gave brilliant performances of the portrayal of friends and colleagues that was a part of her life.

This play did show that Pat Phoenix that was Elsie Tanner is the one and only QUEEN OF THE NORTH.

Excellent, I look forward to seeing the new plays that are due to come out this year and next.
