After much moaning to my other half about the lack of decent pubs in Sale that are child friendly and aren’t expensive, we came across The Moorfield Hungry Horse, Sale – which is exactly what we were looking for.

First impressions couldn’t have been better, we arrived to a large car park next to the outdoor area. The outdoor seating area was a good size, clean and there were numerous tables which were well spread out.  At the side there were 2 bouncy castles (free)– one for smaller children and one for larger!!

It was a rare sunny day so it was busy and quite lively (but not too lively) and the atmosphere was good.  Despite being busy there were ample staff who were friendly, polite and very attentive.

There was a bbq being run although we didn’t see what it was offering.

Inside the pub was very large with a separate over 18’s area.  The toilets were very modern and very clean. There was also a baby changing area.

The food was of excellent quality and very reasonably priced. The fish and chips was particularly good with a massive fish and at an extremely good price of £5 – so good in fact that I would prefer to come here than go to the local fish and chip shop  The portion sizes were on the large side and the menu was extensive – it took us a while to choose!  Each day has a different special offer eg 2 Sunday roasts for £10, curry night on a Wednesday for £5.

Overall great food in a clean, friendly and relaxing environment. We will definitely be returning.
