The Equalizer, Robert McCall (Edward Woodward), is a retired C.I.A officer who now offers his services, free of charge, as a troubleshooter, protector and investigator to people he sees worthy by placing an advert in the newspaper “Got a problem? Odds Against You? Call The Equalizer.”

Season Four sees Robert McCall (Edward Woodward) investigating a corrupt politician who gets his assistant committed to a mental institution, a gang terrorising their school, an assassination attempt on a student protestor who is not all that she seems to be, find the son of a mobster and help a homeless man who believes he Is from another planet.

Overall, season 4 is my favourite. Edward Woodward is back on form after having a heart attack during the filming of season 3. The storylines are much grittier and more intense and Woodward is superb. A great 80's drama that is very entertaining.

With some great stars: Ving Rhames, Lawrence Fishburne, Stanley Tucci and Jenny Agutter.

A fabulous box set to own.
