This is an excellent garment.
Firstly, it is the perfect fit. All the ladies jackets are the full range of standard sizes from 8 to 18.
The men’s jackets come in a range of S to XXL.
There is a good range of colours.
The one I was given to review came in a two tone blue colour called Bering Sea/Blazer.
It is very attractive!
The tailoring is very good and so it hangs well on the body.

It is extremely lightweight. This can be rolled up and packed in any bag or suitcase very easily indeed.
It has every adjustment you could think of to the jacket, and more. The lovely long sleeves have a Velcro adjustment at the cuffs to make them just the right size and the cuffs are rounded at the ends with a piece that curves around the top of the hand. The hood has a toggle at the back which is cleverly hidden by a flap and which means that the hood diameter can be adjusted to just the right size to fit the head without the hood falling over the eyes. The hood also has a peak to its cap which has a wired rim to keep it in shape in all weathers. There are inner toggles in the hem at the base of the garment attached to cords which are elasticated and again can be adjusted to fit perfectly.
It has a pair of large pockets which zip close.
It also cleverly has hanging hooks on both the inside and outside.

And very importantly, it really is extremely comfortable.
The inner Gore-Tex membrane makes it breathable, waterproof and windproof.
I would have liked to have had the opportunity to test it in all weathers, and normally in our wonderful country that would not have been a problem! But this turned out to be a warm and mild week with no significant rain here – isn’t that just typical!
I come from a particularly wet area of West Yorkshire originally, in the foothills of the Pennines, where the clouds rise and drop their rain on the way! I have been outdoors in many a downpour, and on several windswept crags during hiking.
Unfortunately none of that was available this week for thorough testing. So I had to get creative and improvise…
After a thorough spraying with the power shower, concentrating on the seams, I am happy to say that it passed my test!
Also I do know about Gore-Tex, and know how good it is, and trust the claims of it being totally windproof and waterproof.
It actually comes with very detailed information about how the microporous structure makes it durably waterproof, how the membrane pores make it extremely breathable, and how the structure of the membrane makes it completely windproof.
It is covered by the Sprayway guarantee.
Another very pleasing thing is that Sprayway is a member of the Fair Wear foundation.
This is an organisation which strives to improve labour conditions in the garment industry.
So it gives you a nice feeling to know that the clothing you are wearing was not produced by people in unsuitable or unpleasant working conditions.
So well done Sprayway on that one.
Altogether this is an excellent product which I would thoroughly recommend.
