It is always a pleasure to watch a show at the Grove Theatre in Dunstable. My sister and myself were super excited to be there to review the ‘Dreamboys – Where Dreams Became Reality Tour’ show.
The Grove Theatre is a lovely place situated in the heart of Dunstable, with a few nice bars nearby, and the car park is just a short walk away. There is always a nice warm feeling as you enter the spacious foyer, the staff are always very helpful and friendly. The Christmas decorations were up and the theatre looked absolutely stunning. As we made our way to collect our tickets we couldn’t believe how busy it was. We headed to our seats and were very pleased with what a fantastic view we had. Our seats were very comfortable with plenty of leg room. The theatre was filling up pretty quick. As far as we could see the audience were all women. The place was buzzing with excitement.
Just after 7.30pm the curtains went up and on came The Dreamboys. The theatre went wild. The music was loud, the lights were bright and the boys looked amazing! They performed in groups or on their own with several different outfit changes throughout the show. The boys chose members of the audience to come on stage to join in their performances, using lots of different props. They kept the audience clapping and dancing the whole time. It was very entertaining and also funny at the same time.
In the interval the bar was busy but everyone was served pretty quick. The drinks and snacks were reasonably priced. There were Dreamboys calendars on sale for £10 each. We were told it we purchased one we could do a meet and greet with all of the boys in the foyer after the show.
My only disappointment was that the show advertised it would be featuring TV reality star Dan Osbourne from ‘The Only Way is Essex’. His picture was on a giant poster on stage but sadly he wasn’t there.
But overall the show was very good, the dance routines were great, and the guys were all very easy on the eye! We loved the interaction with the audience and everyone seemed to have lots of fun.
I would definitely go to see them again. We were very pleased to hear they would be back again next year. The tickets are a great price. It’s the perfect show if you are planning a Birthday night out or Hen Party.
