Yesterday, we were delighted to be able to take our 4-year-old son Oliver to watch the Teletubbies: Big Hugs in their first ever live UK tour at the Palace Theatre in Manchester.
In celebration of their 20th anniversary, the Teletubbies; Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po took to the stage at the Palace Theatre and put on a fantastic show for their young audience.
Supported on stage by their friend Sam, along with 3 other supporting members of the crew, who took on roles of flowers and the movement of props, the Teletubbies put on a truly engaging performance from start to finish.
My son is quite hyperactive and struggles to stay still, however, the bright colours in the show and the quick pace of the show, with its brilliant content kept him in awe of the 4 colourful characters and their friends.
The timing of the show was perfect, around 30 minutes for the first act, a 20-minute interval before a further 30 minutes for the second act. This was just the right length to ensure the children did not become too restless.
We loved dancing along and singing with the characters. It was very audience centred, which was great.
What an excellent way to open their UK tour. We had an amazing time and would rate the show 5 out of 5 stars.
