Ted Baker Take a Bow Ella Gift Set Review

When you are looking for Christmas gifts for teenage girls then you usually can’t go wrong with a beauty gift. I have two teenage nieces and whenever I ask them what they would like for Christmas perfume and beauty products are always top of their lists. I love buying beauty products at Christmas because there are always lots of gift sets to choose from and they tend to be better value for money than buying the items separately.
The Ted Baker Take a Bow Ella gift set is beautifully packaged in a black box with eye catching rose gold artwork. The cover slides off revealing a 30ml Ella perfume and a square handbag mirror in a protective case which will keep it from getting scratched in your handbag or make up bag. The mirror fits snugly in the case so it won’t fall out, yet is easy to pull out when you want to use it. The case is well designed and is scalloped along the front edge giving it a luxurious feel, the addition of a black ribbon and rose gold tag with the “T” engraved on it makes the mirror look more interesting and the ribbon is useful to help remove the mirror from the case. There are also the words “Looking beautiful” written across the bottom of the mirror which is a nice touch and will certainly appeal to teenage girls. The perfume is in a stylish looking heavy glass bottle with a rose gold removable lid. There is also crystal in the top of the lid, inspired by Ted’s bobble clasp from the purse collection which adds a nice touch. The 30ml bottle is a really good size and easily fits in a handbag, washbag or even your desk at work!
The Ella perfume is described on the back of the box as a person – she is strikingly confident and witty and leaves a lasting impression. She’s got a heart of orange blossom, jasmine and rose and warm notes of amber, patchouli and vanilla. I think the perfume smells lovely; it is flowery but also fresh and will certainly appeal to a wide range of people. I was pleasantly surprised at how long the fragrance lasted, in my experience cheaper perfumes don’t have quite the same staying power as expensive ones do and whilst the fragrance did fade throughout the day, I could still smell this on my wrists when I went to bed! I have received lots of compliments since I started wearing this perfume and I would certainly buy it again.
