We enjoyed a fantastic meal at the Gourdie Croft Beefeater in Dundee, situated on the Kingsway which is on the main bypass in the city.

After convenient parking at the front door, we entered and were immediately greeted by front of house, who ushered us to our table and told us our server for the evening would be Laura, who we found to be very helpful and informative regarding the menu.

The restaurant had a nice ambience, with easy listening background music.

We chose from the mid-week £13.29 for 3 course menu, with hubby choosing the £3 upgrade to have the 10oz rib eye steak. There was a good selection of wines to accompany meals, starting at £9.99 a bottle, this included colour coding on the menu to advise which wines would complement meals

The three courses were served timeously, with no delays and also no rush to finish. I opted for the garlic & herb breaded mushrooms, followed by chargrilled roasted vegetable linguini served with garlic bread, I barely had enough room to squeeze in the chocolate fudge sundae to finish! But I managed. Hubby had the cheese & bacon potato skins, followed by what he said was the most beautiful steak he had ever tasted and then profiteroles.

We were both extremely satisfied with our meals, and would definitely return here for a meal. Top marks all round, we could not fault a single thing,

Rating: 5/5
