I was thrilled to be asked to review this Certified Organic Pure Perfection Primer. Now in my 30’s I am particularly aware of what products I am putting on my skin and this seemed to tick all the boxes. It is also really important to ensure that any items claiming to be Organic are actually what they say they are. This item is 83% Organic which I was happy to see. I particularly like the fact that the item has clear labelling on the packaging stating that it is what is says it is. It states clearly that it is Certified Vegan, Certified Halal and is Cruelty free which again is very important. I would never want to purchase an item from a brand that wasn’t able to make that claim.
I was really keen to give it a try and I wasn’t disappointed. Over this lockdown period my skin has become quite dry and dehydrated and so I was excited to see how whether this product could help. The primer arrived in really beautiful packaging. It gave me the impression immediately that this item was a high end product. It comes in a gorgeous, matt black and gold box and the ingredients are clearly marked on the side. When opening the box you see the item for the first time with its matching colour scheme. It is a glorious Black and Gold. When it came to using the primer for the first time I noticed immediately that the pump is one of quality. It feels solid and durable. Once I had first applied the product to my face, the scent was just delicious. It took me back to pre-covid days at the spa surrounded by steam rooms with the scents of essential oils in the air.
The scent is perfect, both clean and fresh but in no way overpowering. The texture of the primer is not like that of other primers that I have used before. It is much more like a cream but I believe the product is all the better for it. It soaked in well to the skin and wasn’t greasy or oily. It felt more like a moisturiser. It leaves a slight sheen to the skin which shows through the makeup providing a dewy glow which I really liked. I applied my makeup on top and there was no caking of my foundation. I felt it lasted a good few hours however I feel I would have to reapply for a night out. I have been using this primer now for 5 days and I really like it. My skin definitely feels softer and the dry patches are in no way as severe as they were. My skin definitely has benefited from this primer. As many women stuck in during lockdown my face hasn’t seen much make-up! However as we draw ever closer to the exciting day where we can emerge as butterfly’s from the cocoon, we will be in need of products that help protect our skin from increased makeup usage. This is definitely one I will benefit from using. Overall I was very impressed with this product and would definitely recommend it friends.
