Santa’s Magical Alpine Grotto at The Lowry Outlet Mall Review
My daughter has never been a fan of Father Christmas and his grotto as usually the queuing times are crazy and seem to go on for ever only to be met with a teenage Santa who makes no effort to interact with the children. We went to the Lowry Outlet Mall today and saw Santa's Magical Alpine Grotto and decided to see how Kate would react and she loved every moment. We paid £3.50 at the desk and stood in line, there were about 6 other ahead of us so expected Kate to get restless but to our amazement she was absolutely fine and well behaved. The staff handed out balloons and chocolate to all the children and even offered the adults some too. The grotto looked fabulous with a huge tree and lots of mechanical puppets which kept all the children in the queue happy and in a really festive mood. Soon it was our turn to meet Santa, we went into the grotto and came face to face with the most wonderful and charming Santa.
He was so kind to Kate and didn't rush her when she got a little shy. He listened carefully to her request of a bike for christmas and handed her a lovely selection box before wishing us a merry christmas. The only downside was we didn't get a photograph but to be honest the mental image stored in mine and Kate's heads are worth much more than a photo. I would rate this grotto 5 out of 5 as the man playing Santa made Kate's and our day.
