I was asked to review the Fresh Faced Powder from Miners Cosmetics. This was the first time that I had heard of and used this brand.

The powder was in the shade Soft Sand (M1022). The packaging tells me that it is a paraben free powder which evens out skin tone and conceals imperfections whilst creating a fresh faced finish.

The pressed powder comes in a neat compact with a clear lid. The compact is secure but easy to open. I like that the lid is attached which keeps the compact together. The first thing I noticed when applying the brush to the powder is that a lot of powder comes out and it turns to loose powder easily. Once I got used to not having to apply too much force with the brush I did like this.

The powder applies very smoothly and evenly. I do have fair skin and the colour looked great over my usual foundation. In comparison to my usual powder I would say that it gives a great finish and does cover imperfections.

I did try the powder without foundation but did not feel that it gave me enough coverage so I would only be happy to use it over foundation.

The RRP for the powder is £3.99 which is really good value. My usual powder is much more expensive and doesn’t give as good coverage.

The size of the powder is 12g and I would expect it to last quite some time.

I will be purchasing this powder when it finishes and in the meantime I will be purchasing and trying the wider range of products from Miners.

Rating: 5/5 thumbs_up
