I have never watched or know much about Reginald D Hunter. Though I did find out whilst watched his show this evening was that he can be a bit controversial and offensive, so I would say that he isn’t for the prude or easily offended.
When we got there we arrived a little late, so we went straight to our seats, as we sat down the producer of the show announced that they would like to use the show in Reginald's DVD and if we wanted to be part of it, to which we found very exciting. We were asked to make our way to the bar and wait for Reginald D Hunter to walk past us, stop what we were doing, stare at him, and then follow him with our heads in the direction he was going. They also asked some others including my friend and I to come down the escalators and stare at him whilst he walked past us, so we may be on the DVD.
We went back to our seats ready for the show to start, there was a warm up act named Peter Johansson from Vancouver, Canada. He was on for about 40 minutes and certainly did warm us up, he was hilarious and had everyone in stitches and fits of laughter. I will be keeping an eye out for him and any future performances. I have already added him on Facebook and Twitter to keep me posted.
Next up was Reginald D Hunter, he took a while to come on as the cameras had to be set up, but once he came out the packed audience erupted, the majority of his show was great and really funny, but I must admit some of his jokes did go over my head, but everyone else 'got' the joke and were in hysterics.
He did explain that he can easily offend people, and that they had been warned… He then got the audience involved and picked out his 'victims' from the crowd, but I found it all to be in a fun way, and if you had seen him before you would know what to expect. He does swear a lot as most comedians do and no one seemed to be offended, he was on for about an hour.
Overall it was a good show made more exciting by the prospect of being on the DVD.
I would go and see him again and will be buying the DVD when its available.
