Mornflake Top Porridge comes in Plain or with added Golden Syrup or Plain or with added Nutella.

Mornflake Top Porridge comes in its own handy attractive pot with a foil lid. This then has a separate container of either Golden Syrup or Nutella under the plastic lid, depending on which flavour has been chosen. It can actually be eaten in three ways.  Plain, with Golden Syrup or with Nutella.

The instructions are simple. Once the foil lid has been peeled back, boiling water has to be added to the level shown clearly on the inside of the pot. The porridge has to be stirred, at this stage the Golden Syrup or Nutella is added and the lid replaced and the porridge left for 3 minutes.

I actually tried it plain first both times, then added the Golden Syrup or Nutella.

Plain, the porridge had a very good porridge flavour if you like plain porridge, but was still very hot after the three minutes, so be careful.

I must admit I prefer any porridge with something added.  I enjoyed it with both the Golden Syrup and Nutella. The texture of the porridge was a bit coarser than I like, I prefer it smooth, but it didn’t stop me enjoying it.

Mornflake Top Porridge is an excellent way of having breakfast whether at home or on the go, after all, all that is needed is a spoon and boiling water.

I can recommend this handy porridge pot as the porridge was so easy to make and has a good flavour whichever way you choose to have it.
