FFOR are a very ethical company.  The name stands for free from, original, real.  On the packaging it states the products are free from anything harsh or harmful, anything wasteful or damaging, anything unkind or cruel.
The ethics of a company are very important but the product also has to perform well.  There are such a lot of hair care products on the market it’s difficult to know where to start but getting the right one for you is as important as getting the right skincare products.

For this review I received the re:nourish gift set.  Presented in a stylishly understated plain black tin, the set consists of a 300ml plastic bottle of Re:Nourish shampoo, a 300ml plastic bottle of Re:Nourish conditioner and a 200ml plastic tube of Re:Plenish hair mask.  All plastics are fully recyclable and made from pcr plastic.

The Re:Nourish shampoo is a clear gel like liquid.  The key ingredients are organic cinnamon bark oil, organic orange peel oil and sunflower seed oil. It lathers up well into a rich foam with tight bubbles and rinses out very easily.  My hair felt very clean and well hydrated after use.

Next I went on to the Re:Nourish conditioner.  This is more like a cream.  The key ingredients are organic cinnamon bark, sunflower seed oil and Brazil nut oil.  It was easy to apply and very easy to get an even coverage all over my hair.  When it was rinsed off my hair immediately felt softer.  After drying my hair looked super smooth.  All the whispery split hairs had magically disappeared.

The other product in the gift set was the Re:Plenish hair mask.  The key ingredients are sunflower seed oil, Panthenol and organic cinnamon bark.  This is a thicker cream and needs to be combed through the hair and left for a few minutes before rinsing off so it gets a chance to penetrate the hair again.  It was very easy to use and gives more intense hydration to the hair.  Not something you would use every time you wash your hair.  It’s a good product to use anytime you think your hair has got a bit dryer than usual like when you’ve been in the sunshine or spent a lot of time in doors with lots of heating.

All the products I tried had a lovely smell.  Not at all floral.  More like the smell in your kitchen spice cupboard.  I could definitely smell the cinnamon.

My husband is not usually bothered what hair products he uses but he loved these and the fact that they did not smell too feminine.  For the first time we are now both using the same hair products.  All the products in the gift set are also available individually and the shampoo and conditioner are available in two sizes.

Rating: 5/5
