In a small country town while cycling to the Mayday parade the May Queen, Hattie, goes missing in broad daylight and this is the start of a hunt for a missing schoolgirl.

The small town is steeped in Pagan traditions and everybody seems to be hiding a secret, from the hermit in the woods to the property developer businessman. With the whole town now out searching for the missing Hattie secrets are starting to become unravelled.

Overall, I found this to be a very interesting crime drama. The small town mentally, atmosphere and characters each trying to hide their own secrets and past make it very enjoyable. Even when you think you have even information to figure out “whodunit” the plot twists again keeping you guessing.

While at times the story was stretched out as long as possible this added to the suspense but in a way that it did not become boring or stale.

I thoroughly enjoyed the series and found it to be well-written and acted where everybody seems to have something to hide or cover-up.Sophie OkonedoSophie OkonedoSophie Okonedo

A good dark story with some light humour.
