Balmonds Natural Shampoo and Body Wash Review

This product can be used as a shampoo, a body wash or a hand wash it’s a 200ml size and has a pump action dispensing system, the plastic bottle is a good size, easy too hold , not too heavy and recyclable.  A good one for taking on holiday for all the family to use.

I found that the product did not create as much lather as I was used too, I think this is because I am used to using products with more artificial ingredients and have been programmed to think I need lots of lather, the instructions say to use more water rather than more product to get a better lather.  I did this and got a creamy lather with very small tight bubbles, even though it was less foam than I was used to I still felt very clean.  When I used it as a shampoo again it didn’t lather up much but my hair felt and looked very clean, I did feel it was slightly drying and definitely needed to use a conditioner afterwards.

The smell is very unusual, looking at the bottle it says nettle and chamomile, I don’t know if this is what I could smell but I would describe it as peppery, not unpleasant but rather organic, reminded me of the outdoors and certainly suitable for everyone.  Made with herbal extracts and other plant based biodegradable ingredients many of which are sourced locally, on the bottle there’s a whole list of things is doesn’t contain like mineral oil or paraffin to name just a couple.
